When we collect such information, the provider will have a choice regarding whether to provide their information, how we will use the information, and to whom it may be disclosed. The situations in which we will collect and use personal information are specifically described below.

McCane Consulting currently operates several different services. At this time, the services include RECaLL (recall.maxbaud.net), Sellit–Here Online Auctions™ (www.sellit–here.com), Freenews (freeusenetnews.com), a Usenet Reader (freeusenetreader.com), and Usenet Pictures (www.freeusenetpictures.com) (the "Services"). The Services may also be located on third party web sites and/or applications. The services are made available by McCane Consulting. McCane Consulting values its users and understands their concerns about their personal privacy. To this end, McCane Consulting engages in consistent information practices and uses its best efforts to make clear disclosures regarding those practices. This privacy policy is part of that continuing effort.

This Privacy Policy applies to collection, use, storage and disclosure of information by McCane Consulting. McCane Consulting uses various third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. Although most of our Services are targetted towards families (including those with children), we will not allow persons under the age of majority (in Missouri, USA) to register for personalized services.

As part of the registration process, you will be asked to provide certain information, which depending on the site may include contact information such as name and email address, unique identifiers (such as drivers license number), financial information (such as bank account or credit card numbers), and demographic information (such as zip code, age, or income level). Whenever possible McCane Consulting has made providing the requested information optional. McCane Consulting will use registration information to provide updates, and other business purposes related to making available the features and functions of the Services. McCane Consulting also may use registration information to make users aware of new products or special offers or promotions. McCane Consulting will abide by requests from you (in accordance with the procedure below) to discontinue such use. Please Note: For security reasons, McCane Consulting does not perform its own credit card processing. Instead we use the services of other companies which specialize in this area. This allows us to get paid for the Services (for a "small" fee), but helps to provide additional security for your credit card information because these companies can devote their time to appropriate security measures.

McCane Consulting makes chat rooms and forums available to its users on some of its services. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information online.

McCane Consulting will fully comply with any US Government Agency which presents the proper documentation to request specific data. There are certain types of data which in aggregate are not personally identifiable, but which can be used to follow the activities of individuals on our (or any other) web site. For example, every visitor to our site must have an IP (internet) address, and unless special efforts are made by that individual to block their address, we can provide information for specific addresses at specific times (going back to the opening of our web site). This information will also contain what sites a specific visitor came from, and what keywords they searched for. As you can imagine, if the Government can figure out that you were on a site, they can then follow your trail backwards from site to site examining your activities.

In the event that McCane Consulting must contact a Government agency about a users activities, we will provide any and all necessary information that the Government needs during their investigation of our claim. This information would be limited to activity logs and cookie data, unless an individual has signed up for any of our Services.
